About US Red Brick Farm is located in Sunny Klamath County in Southeastern Oregon, specializing in producing high quality and versatile colored sporthorses. Owner Brigitte Marker has had a passion for horses and a ability and keen instinct for their conformation and ability since she was just a child. Brigitte believes that a horse should not be based on just looks but the whole package. A horse needs to have good conformation, temperament and personality but they also need good feet. In selecting and choosing to buy Gallant Reward Brigitte looked at the whole package. Griffin produces wonderfully tempered colored offspring who are athletic and their personalities are unbelievable, they so absolutely mild mannered and easy to handle and they just love attention. She believes in breeding for pedigree and conformation, but not just one, because if you don't have the whole than you will have a horse who will not hold up to the training needed to be competitive. Since starting to ride 25 years ago, Brigitte has had an increasing involvement in the care, breeding and selection of horses for breeding and show. Brigitte starting her riding at the age of 10. Since the age of 10 and through the years Brigitte has competed in bareback, western, reining, Hunters, Jumpers and than Dressage. Already in her Career, Brigitte has worked at a Racehorse training facility, as an riding instructor at Oregon State University, as a Assistant Manger and than a Assistant Director of the Oregon State Horse Center at Oregon State University where her responsibilities included proper feeding regiments for the horses, scheduling instructors, including herself to teach lessons, Schedule and run the Adult and Children riding programs, establish and run summer camps, and monitor and care for 70 horses, Brigitte has been involved in breeding horses now for 7 yrs and primarily chooses horses based on their ability, conformation and temperament. |
